Creamy Lemon Pasta

This is an easy elegant weeknight dinner to make for any day.  This is also a very popular Italian restaurant pasta dish too.  But this is in no way some traditional Italian recipe.  This is a home style recipe.

Ingredients:
(5-6) slices of bacon (I used chicken bacon)
(1) onion finely chopped
(250 mL) whipping cream
(250 mL) reserved pasta water
cooked pasta (as much as you need for your family)
(1) lemon, juiced
dash of chicken stock powder
ground black pepper
Italian Seasoning
Paremsean cheese on the side

DIRECTIONS:
First, prepare your pasta.  Set aside and reserve (250 mL) of Pasta water.  Next, Juice up your lemon.  I prefer to use fresh lemon for this recipe it has more flavor than squeazy bottles.  Next, chop up your bacon.  When all of this is prepared, we can go to the pre heated pan.  Brown the bacon and Onion until fragrant.  Next, add in the pasta water, the cream, the lemon juice and stir well.   Sprinkle in the chicken stock powder.  When everything is all stirred in, quickly take it away from the heat.  You do not want to over cook the cream.  Next, add in your pasta and stir everything well and heat everything thru.  Season with ground black pepper and Italian seasoning.  Serve with some Parmesean cheese on the side if desired.  So Simple!!! This is way easier than dining out at the restaurant.  I thickened up the sauce with a bit of flour cause it was a bit much liquid but you can adjust to your own liking.  I hope you guys enjoy.
