I came up with this idea when I was bored of the usual fried rice and I had some Pineapple Sauce in the fridge. Why not??!!! Heres the ingredients.
INGREDIENTS:
(1/2) of a SMALL jar of Pineapple sauce
(2) cups of cooked, cold rice
(2) eggs beaten with a bit of water added and salt
(3-4) hot dogs cut up
dash of soy sauce
2 tablespoons Chili Garlic sauce
your choice of vegetable (or no veg at all)
DIRECTIONS:
First, crack the eggs open, give them a quick whisk with water and salt. Set aside. Cut up your hot dogs and set them aside. In a preheated pan, put in your beaten eggs. Make it the same way like you would with scrambled eggs. Once your scrambled eggs is formed, push them aside and add in your hot dogs. When the hot dogs are burnt looking and puffed up, it means they are all cooked and ready. Next, add your rice. If your rice is a little bit older or dry, you can feel free to add a little bit of water or chicken broth. Just don't make it all went and mushy. Using your spatula, just start to crumble up the rice and mix the egg and hot dog well together until they are all heated thru. Next, you add in your Pineapple sauce. Mix that well too. Next, add the chili garlic sauce and the soy sauce. You can skip the soy sauce if you want it just helps to add more color. Mix everything well. At this point, it is ready to serve. If you like, you can add vegetables too. I used frozen peas and carrots in this video I just added it directly from the bag. This is a really quick and delicious weeknight meal. It tastes even better the next day. I hope you will give this a try. See you again next time!
