This is now one of my favorite ways to cook Chicken. Cooking Chicken from frozen into the Slow Cooker. Heres the Recipe.
Ingredients:
(6) pieces of frozen Chicken breasts
(1) 1LB bag of babby carrots
(3) celery stalks chopped
(1) bag brown gravy mix
(1) cup of water
black pepper to taste
salt is not necessary if you are using a pre frozen Chicken product
garlic powder
onion powder
(1) tsp of chicken stock powder
DIRECTIONS:
First, chop up the Celery stalks. Place the Celery into the Slow Cooker. Next, put in the bag of Carrots directly on top of the Celery. Next, take the packet of brown gravy mix and mix it with the (1) cup of water. Next, place the frozen Chicken pieces on top of the vegetables. Next goes in the black pepper, garlic powder and Onion powder and the Chicken stock powder. Finally goes in the dissolved Brown Gravy mix. Sometimes, depending on your Slow Cooker, the temperature might get quite high and your food may stick. I try to prevent this by adding about half a cup more of water into the mix. Plug in your Slow Cooker, turn it on low heat for 8-10 hrs. Thicken the gravy if needed. I hope you will enjoy this method of Cooking Chicken as much as I do.
